President Buhari and Garba Shehu |
Boko Haram slit the throat of 43 farmers in Zabarmari, in Jere Local Government of Borno State, and all the president could say was that he extend condolences to the family of the victim.
The Senior Special Assistant, Media and Publicity to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, Mr Garba Shehu has tweeted on his handle that the president has given the necessary Support to the military. Check out his tweets below:
President @MBuhari has expressed grief over the killing of farmers on rice fields at Zabarmari, in Jere Local Government of Borno State, describing the terrorist killings as insane.
“I condemn the killing of our hardworking farmers by terrorists in Borno State. The entire country is hurt by these senseless killings. My thoughts are with their families in this time of grief. May their souls Rest In Peace.”
President Buhari said the government had given all the needed support to the armed forces “to take all necessary steps to protect the country’s population and its territory.”
If truly the government has given all the necessary supports ideally for operation to the military and Insecurities still thrive in the north Eastern part and the north in general, it is also ideal to call the service chiefs of the Military to order and sack if necessary.
Scores of farmers are being killed on daily basis by herders men and Boko Haram. Bandits on the other hand are kidnapping residents from their homes. When will the president hold the security chiefs accountable? The North is bleeding and we all have to speak up.
SECURE THE NORTH!
