BIAFRA

Image
Over the last three decades, BIAFRA has been all over the air. This whole struggle started 1967 by Late. Emeka Ojukwu. The secession of the Biafran region was the primary cause of the Nigerian Civil War, also known as the Biafran War. The state was formally recognised by Gabon, Haiti , Ivory Coast , Tanzania and Zambia. Other nations which did not give official recognition, but provided support and assistance to Biafra included Israel, France, Spain , Portugal, Norway , Rhodesia , South Africa and the Vatican City. Biafra also received aid from non-state actors, including Joint Church Aid , Holy Ghost Fathers of Ireland, Caritas International , MarkPress and U.S. Catholic Relief Services. After two-and-a-half years of war, during which perhaps a million Biafran civilians died from starvation caused by the total blockade of the region by the Nigerian government and the migration of Biafra's Igbo people into increasingly shrinking territory, Biafran forces under the motto of "No

By Azu Ishiekwene AT last, former President Goodluck Jonathan appears to have found his mojo. In recent speech after speech, he’s been taking the fight to the doorstep of the ruling All Progressives Congress and causing quite a stir. Former President Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan at the State House in Abuja Until now, the only thing Jonathan could remember as his achievement after six years in office was the transfer of power. Yet, he often spoke about this considerable feat in whispers at the end of which he would usually remark, almost as an afterthought, that it was also on his watch that Nigeria became Africa’s largest economy. He said that apart from a few loopholes that he failed to plug, President MuhammaduBuhari’s government could so far not compare with his record o

WOMAN CAN ALSO BE BUS CONDUCTORS

Pass the bill  of 35% right for women; women can also be bus conductors,  bricklayers... I heard the Law makers had not passed the bill of 35% autonomy  right for women  to occupy  every sector of Nigeria. Yes, they want the 35% portion of Nigeria. Let it be passed because  if it is passed into law,  it means every single sector of Nigeria  economy, home and activities  are to be controlled  by women. But my problem is would the women also clamour for hard works positions or just the juicy ones?  I would be glad if it is passed into law. We should be have 35% bricklayers,  wheel barrow pushers,  bus conductors  of women.  I hope they now understand  occupying  35% of Nigeria.  This people should understand  something,  A woman and a Man are created differently.  Even when we try to fight for gender equality,  we should bear this in mind.
