The Champions of the Uefa champion's league on Tuesday 8th August, 2017 won the Uefa super cup. Beating Manchester United 2:1. Real madrid who opened the score at 24th minute with a goal from Casemiro had a higher possession on the ball through out 90 minute of play. At half time Real Madrid were one goal ahead. At 54th minute the champions doubled the score line with a goal from Isco making it two goals. At 62nd minute, Lukaku score for Manchester united and subsequently, manchester united tried to level up the scores, though it proved fruitless.

Over the years, graduates in most tertiary institutions are given what i tagged "Baptism of graduates". This is a yearly ritual most students do in tertiary institution over the country to graduating students. It is believed that from the first day a student stepped his/her foot into the lecture halls of any Nigeria tertiary institution, he/she experiences all sorts of troubles from lecturers, course mates, unions and all forms of fellowship. This can not be over emphasized as it is the truth in almost all Nigeria tertiary institutions. It has become a norm that an average Nigeria University student must go through a lot of hunger and starvation during his/her four, five or six years stay in the university due to the economical background that could not even provide food for her citizens. Arsenal defeated the English premier league champions on penalty shoot out on Sunday 6th August, 2017 at Wembly stadium after a 90 minutes of play. Both teams playing very well for the  first half, the referee blew the first half break whistle as both teams went into the break 0:0. After the first half break, at 47th minute, Victor Moses, the Nigerian broke the tie by scoring the first goal assisted by Gary Cahill. Arsenal came out of their shell as Pedro secured a red card at 78th minute of play. Arsenal new signing, Sead Kolasinac who was substituted into the game at 29th minute, scored the equalizing goal from a free kick at 81st minute. After added time of 5 minutes to the 90 minutes of play, Arsenal won the 2017 FA community shield cup by penalty beating chelsea 4:1 at Wembley standium.
